Ereikoussa Island
EREIKOUSSA
It’s the second biggest of the island complex called “Diapondia Islands”. One of the most virgin islands of the Ionian Sea, Ereikoussa stands 8 nautical miles northwest of Corfu surrounded by crystal clear blue waters, endless golden and steep cliffy beaches. Its only few settlements allow you to discover the history of the island and meet the friendly locals who are very excited welcoming you and helping you with your little adventurous trip. The island’s pathways enclosed by olive and cypress trees, let you explore its nature along with the sweet smell of heather.
MATHRAKI
Mathraki is one of the most secluded islands in Greece! It is located close to the northern coast of Corfu and belongs to the Diapontia island complex along with Ereikoussa and Othoni.
If you’re someone who loves isolation and privacy, Mathraki is the perfect destination for you! This little island boasts a beautiful setting as it is carpeted with lush vegetation and is dotted with traditional houses that ooze charm in abundance.
Given that Mathraki is a destination off the beaten tourist trail, it doesn’t have many facilities and is visited by a few tourists. Actually, Mathraki is a nice destination for a day trip from Corfu as well as for campers who seek isolation.
Mathraki, one of the least commercial islands in Greece, is the perfect place to get away from it all!
OTHONI
Othoni is the largest and westernmost island, so is the western part of Greek territory, the distance from the northwestern tip of Corfu is 12 miles.
Othoni have beautiful beaches with turquoise waters, impressive geological formations, lush vegetation, picturesque paths and small villages with houses made of stone.
Major settlements in Othoni is Ammos, Avlaki and the port, all in the southern coast of the island.
Other beaches is the White Sand and Fiki beach on the north coast.
